Attracting untapped internal talents through Telkomsel Polaris rebranding

Aiming to get entrepreneurial talents among the employees, Telkomsel launched Tinc Polaris as the rebranded InnoXtion, its prior internal startup incubator. By encouraging Telkomsel’s internal innovation spirit, we worked on #StartWithinUs launching campaign including online events, creative concept, and content production.

Rejuvenating the existing key visuals and its communication approach, we combined youthful vibrancy of Telkomsel’s secondary colors and receh tone of voice for its internal channels such as Instagram, newsletter, and web banners.

Polaris then went through several key changes. One of them is the change in the program concept, from a year-long program into several events in a monthly basis. So, it also affected how we promote each event and divide the big campaign into the smaller ones.

In the course of the program, we were challenged to explore creative possibilities that are adaptable into different themes based on moments, topics, and nuance Polaris would like to create. No longer using the brand, we developed several key visuals to showcase the flexibility of Polaris' freedom and innovative spirit.

The results speak louder.

In our first year, with 4 curated events as a punchline we were able to gather 186 business teams which had a total of 700+ employees or equivalent to 14% of Telkomsel's nation-wide employees.

After the changes, we successfully jacked up the numbers:

  • 1,630 business ideas submitted (almost 9x)
  • xxx employees involved
  • xx% of Telkomsel's nation wide employees (xxx increase)
